LOTION (’90s BAND)
’90s indie rock greats Lotion (not to be confused with current band L.O.T.I.O.N.) are getting back together for Dromedary Records’s 30th Anniversary in Hudson, NY in September, and while they’re at it have booked a couple hometown NYC shows: Mercury Lounge on 9/20 and Main Drag Music on 9/22.

The duo of Deftones’ Chino Moreno and Far’s Shaun Lopez will play their first shows as ††† in nine years this fall, and they’ve added a few more chances to see them.
GIRL RAY
London trio Girl Ray have announced their first US tour in five years, including Austin’s Levitation Festival and a BrooklynVegan-presented NYC show.
SAY SHE SHE
NYC psych/disco group Say She She, who were recently out with Portugal. The Man, will be touring in support of their upcoming album Silver this fall, including shows with Nicky Eagan, Salt Cathedral, They Live, and more. Shows include their biggest to date, happening at Bowery Ballroom on October 17. All dates, which includes an Austin stop for Levitation fest, are here.
TRAVIS SCOTT
After releasing his new album Utopia, Travis Scott will go on the “Utopia Presents Circus Maximus” tour, his first major outing since the deaths at the 2021 edition of Astroworld Festival.
MADE IN AMERICA FEST 2023 CANCELED
Jay-Z-curated festival Made in America was set to return for its 2023 edition on Labor Day Weekend, September 2-3 at Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia with headliners Lizzo and SZA, but it’s now been cancelled. A statement from organizers reads, “Due to severe circumstances outside of production control, the 2023 Made In America Festival will no longer be taking place. This decision has been difficult and has not been made lightly nor without immense deliberation.”
PIANOS BECOME THE TEETH / CITY OF CATERPILLAR
Pianos Become the Teeth have announced a short run of December dates in the Northeast with City of Caterpillar, hitting Baltimore, Brooklyn, Hamden, CT and Philadelphia.
CATTLE DECAPITATION, IMMOLATION, SANGUISUGABOGG & CASTRATOR
San Diego death metal vets Cattle Decapitation have announced a headlining tour in support of this year’s Terrasite, and they’ll be joined by Yonkers death metal vets Immolation, Ohio freaks Sanguisugabogg, and feminist death metallers Castrator.
FROZEN SOUL / 200 STAB WOUNDS / JUDICIARY / TRIBAL GAZE
TX death metal greats Frozen Soul released their fantastic new album Glacial Domination in May, and were part of the stacked Black Dahlia Murder tour earlier this year. Now they have a stacked tour of their own with 200 Stab Wounds, Judiciary, and Tribal Gaze.
NICK CAVE
Nick Cave will be in NYC in October as part of his upcoming solo tour, and while here he’s making time to discuss his book Faith, Hope and Carnage at 92Y.
LOL TOLHURST (THE CURE)
The Cure co-founder Lol Tolhurst has written a new book, Goth: A History, which will be out September 21 in the UK and September 26 in the US, and he’ll promote it with talks/signings in NYC and LA.
JONATHAN TOUBIN’S HAUNTED HOP 2023
Jonathan Toubin has announced the lineup of his 2023 NY Night Train Haunted Hop Halloween Spooktacular that happens Halloween night at Knockdown Center. This year features The Black Lips, The Spits, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black, CHRISTEENE, and cumgirl8, plus lots of bands doing sets as other bands, including The Mystery Lights, THICK, Daddy Long Legs, 95 Bulls, and more. There’s also DJs, a costume contest, movies, art and more.
RIOT FEST AFTER SHOWS
Riot Fest has announced its late night club show lineup including Danzig, Thursday, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Kim Gordon and more.
HEMLOCKE SPRINGS
North Carolina songwriter and artist Isimeme ‘Naomi’ Udu went viral with her 2022 song as Hemlocke Springs, “girlfriend,” and she’s followed it with more catchy electro-art-pop tracks, most recently June’s “heavun.” She’s announced a mini-tour this fall happening around festival appearances at All Things Go and Pitchfork Paris and Berlin.

Allison Russell just played NYC’s River & Blues fest and now that that’s over, she’s announced a Brooklyn stop on her fall tour in support of new album The Returner, playing Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 30.
DREAMWELL
Rhode Island screamo band Dreamwell have announced a tour following the October 20 release of their upcoming LP In My Saddest Dreams, I Am Beside You. Dates include a NYC show with Gospel.
BEACH FOSSILS / TURNOVER
After wrapping up an extensive run opening for Post Malone, Beach Fossils have announced a headlining tour of their own. The trip kicks off in late October, a few months after the release of Beach Fossils’ first album in six years, Bunny. They’ll be joined on the road by Turnover on all dates.
OMAR SOULEYMAN
Syrian artist Omar Souleyman has announced his first US shows in years with a night on each coast (NYC & LA) in the coming weeks.
SPENCER KRUG
Spencer Krug (Wolf Parade), Eli Browning and Jordan Koop will take their upcoming I Just Drew This Knife on the road in October.
BRUJERIA
Long-running, LA-based, Spanish-language deathgrinders Brujeria’s new LP comes out in September, and they’ll tour this fall.
