In addition to another sad summer coming to an end, maine are preparing to release their new self-titled album (August 1 via Photo Finish/8123). Today, the pop-rock group shared a new music video for their single “How to Exit the Room.”
In the black-and-white video, a well-dressed John O’Callaghan appears to be on an important mission as he rides across the desert. Towards the end, the lead singer comes to a door, but it’s not clear what awaits him on the other side.

“There’s a lot about me that you don’t know,” O’Callaghan said. “The horse I rode might not be on your ‘Maine Music Video’ bingo card, but I do just that in our brand new video ‘How to Exit the Room.’ I admit it’s ridiculous, but we’ve always had a vision for this video, and we’ve finally made it a reality. From now on, when I want to leave a party, that’s how I’ll leave it.”
