Manchester United Football Club have decided on the future of Harry Maguire at the club before the 2023 summer transfer window.
The Red Devils decided to back down from the deal with the Hammers for the England International. One of the best sports journalists when it comes to transfer news, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Manchester United are not ready to allow Maguire to leave the club.
Manchester United’s decision not to allow Harry Maguire leave the club was because of the injury to one of its top defenders, Rapheal Varane. According to reports, they will not allow Maguire leave the club if there is no replacement for the French defender. However, the London club are looking at the possibility of a loan deal before the 2023 summer transfer window closes but United will only entertain a permanent move for the player.
Recall that both clubs had initially reached an agreement of £30 million for Maguire but the deal failed to come through because United were not able to pay the defender his asking price because his contract was terminated.
Maguire has not played any game in the opening three games of the season against Wolves, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest. It remains to be seen if the defender will be able to break into the first team.
