Manchester United’s cast-away player, Mason Greenwood has completed his move away from Old Trafford to the La Liga side, Getafe.
The Spanish side confirmed the deal on its official website on the last day of the 2023 summer transfer window. According to the club, the English international signed a season loan deal which will keep him until June 2024.
Manchester United wished Mason Greenwood well in his new adventure with Getafe.
“The move enables Greenwood to begin to rebuild his career away from United. The club will continue to offer support to Mason and his family during this period of transition.”
Recall that Manchester United revealed that Greenwood’s time at the club will come to an end following an internal review related to the striker. The 21-year-old, who faced arrest in January 2022 on charges including attempted rape, won’t be representing the club in the future.
The midfielder will hope that this deal will be the start of something good as he tries to find his feet in his career.
