Manchester United suffered their fourth defeat in the Premier League this season as they lost to Crystal Palace.
The Red Devils failed to drive on their back-to-back wins across all competitions against Burnley and Crystal Palace. Joachim Andersen’s first-half volley left the home fans in disarray as they failed to find an equaliser against the Eagles.
One of the club’s latest signings during the summer, Mason Mount expressed his disappointment and also spoke about what they can do better to win games.
“There are areas that we need to look at. It’s a frustrating one to take. We want to perform for them [the fans], we want to win games for them. We’ll improve, we need to go away and look at some areas that just weren’t there today.”
He also spoke about the chance he missed in the game which would have gotten United back on level terms.
“Diogo (Dalot) put a good ball in and I just tried to glance it and it hit my shoulder,” he said on the chance. It’s one of them ones, a tough one. If I score that, we’re back in the game, hunting for a winner. It’s fine margins and just not going our way at the moment.”
Manchester United supporters will hope the club can get back to winning ways when they face Brentford at Old Trafford on Saturday, October 7, 2023.
