Birmingham, Alabama straightedge metallic hardcore band No Cure are on tour now with The Acacia Strain, and they’ve dropped their second single of 2023 in the midst of it. It’s called “No Cure Straight Edge Die Slow Fuck You,” and vocalist Blaythe Steuer says, “We wrote this song for our second EP of 2022 titled Cursed From Birth. After recording everything for that, we decided that this song and one other were too beast for that record. We re-recorded them for our upcoming release to give them the luster and emphasis we felt they deserved.” It is indeed very beast, and it comes with a video that splices together dimly-lit performance clips with a storyline that follows a decidedly not straightedge character. That video gets an early premiere in this post. Check it out below, alongside recent single “Parasite (Two Shots),” and stay tuned for more info on that upcoming release.
No Cure’s run with The Acacia Strain also includes Escuela Grind, Mugshot, Foreign Hands, Judiciary, and Momentum, varying by date. No Cure and Mugshot also have some dates of their own in between, and No Cure play a couple shows with 200 Stab Wounds too. The run with The Acacia Strain wraps up on September 10 in Atlantic City with Foreign Hands and Mugshot. All dates and posters below.
