Former Super Eagles captain, Mikel Obi, has finally addressed the long-standing rumor about a beef with the legendary singer, 2baba.

Back in 2006, there were claims that Mikel Obi had snubbed the Afropop icon at a London club, fueling speculations of a feud between them. Adding to the rumors, four years later, 2baba released a hit song titled “Only Me” which many assumed was directed at their alleged beef, even though 2baba denied it and clarified that the song was not a diss track or about Mikel.

Recently, Mikel had an interaction with a curious fan on Instagram, where the fan asked him directly about the rumored beef. Mikel took the opportunity to set the record straight, confirming that he never snubbed 2baba at a London club. He emphasized that he is, in fact, a huge fan of 2Baba and would never do anything to disrespect him.

Addressing the fan’s question, Mikel responded, “No, I never did. I am a big fan of his, so I wouldn’t do such a thing. Have a lovely day.”
