Miracle Legion, the great undersung ’80s / ’90s alt-rock band led by Mark Mulcahy (Polaris), called it quits back in 2017 after a farewell tour but they’ve been coaxed back out into the sunlight to play Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival.
“Way back when we told everybody we were playing our final show. April 29 2017 in San Francisco,” write Miracle Legion. “As it turns out that was a scam. Sorry. We are crawling out of the old ML storage facility and coming to play at the Solid Sound Festival at Mass Moca. We cried wolf and you listened.”
Let’s hope Miracle Legion play a few other shows around Solid Sound.
Solid Sound happens June 28-30 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA and also features performances by Jason Isbell, Dry Cleaning, Young Fresh Fellows, Soul Glo, Wednesday, Nick Lowe, Iris Dement, Joanna Sternberg, and more. Tickets are still available.
Mark Mulcahy just released a covers EP.
