Brooklyn-based musician Nisa has announced her debut LP, Shapeshifting, due out on April 26 via Tender Loving Empire Records. She made it with regular collaborator Ronnie DiSimone (aka Torna), and you can see the cover art and tracklist below.
The first single is “Smokescreen,” an alt-pop track Nisa says she wrote “about the dance between seeking closure while being unable to fully let go. I was stuck in a loop of repetitive behavior and somehow also expecting to feel different, and after a while, it started to weigh on me. In order to make a change, I had to admit that I was prone to harmful patterns, and this song is about that self-realization.”
Nisa will play a few East Coast shows in May, including Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right on May 7. Tickets are on sale now, and you can see all dates below.
