I picked up the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale at my local store in Tampa and ended up finding a lot of great stuff in this year’s beauty exclusives! Even though a lot of the shoes and clothes were sold out, it was really fun to see everything. My store also doesn’t have most of the tops or denim in stock that I focus on. If you’ve purchased an item on sale, I’d love to know how it’s stocked at your local store.
Here’s what I’ve lugged and some things I’ve tried. There’s a lot to cover in this roundup!
Accessories
I bought these 2 ct sized cubic zirconia earrings ($29.99 on sale) and thought they were really pretty. They’re sparkly, and they’re great prices too. There are many sizes available in their store. You can find them in gold or silver stud options.
I found some great sunglasses on sale this year! The quality depends on the brand and style, but I bought two pairs from Tom Ford. I really like the Alistair 56mm gradient style.
They come in 3 colors and all 3 colors have different prices. The Blonde Havana/Blue Gradient ($287.99, $430 aftermarket) fit perfectly (bought these). I also love the Crimson/Brown in Red Havana/Brown Polarized ($299.99, $535 aftermarket) which is also really lovely. Also available in gloss black/smoke ($299.99, $535 aftermarket).
They have some men’s sunglasses in the mix, probably unisex, but on the Nordstrom website, they’re under promotional accessories for men. I also bought the Tom Ford Milla 59 mm Gradiant Aviators ($179.99, $575 aftermarket) in gold blue gradient (there are many options).
Also tried the Tom Ford Leo 52 mm Retro ($246.99 on sale, $370 aftermarket). Available in Gloss Black, Tanwood/Black and Tortoiseshell Havana. I ended up ditching this style as I already owned several pairs of Celine sunglasses in a similar style.
Almost all of the Celine sunglasses in my store are sold out, but I did try the Celine Bold 3 Dots 58mm Flat Top ($289.99, regular $450), which just aren’t my style. I also had my eye on the Burberry 56 Square Sunglasses ($169.99), but they ended up feeling pretty flimsy.
I gave up all bags this year, though the Dagne Dover Ace Waterproof Fanny Pack ($65.99 on sale, $95 aftermarket) and the Mila Toiletry Organizer ($49.99) are lovely!
The All Saints Ida Messenger Bag ($199.99 on sale, $319 after sale) is also cute, but my store only has it in pampas white (both colors are still online).
shoe
The Nsale sneaker section is pretty good, but I’m well stocked right now so decided to pass it up. The 327 is sold out and this model is no longer available on the website. I do think you might be lucky to find them in store if you have a Nordstrom near you. Let’s take a look:
Top: New Balance 574 and 327
Bottom: adidas Swift Run and Ultraboost 1.0 DNA
try on clothes
The clothing section in my store is very limited. They do not stock all colors or styles. I’m petite and a lot of XS and XXS sizes have disappeared.
I did get the FP Movement The Way Home shorts in size small ($19.99 on sale, $30 off) and the Zella Anya Ottoman jersey jumper in size XS, which is large but comfy ($49.99 on sale, $79 off).
The Pistola Oversized Muscle T-Shirt ($44.99) comes in a very pretty shade of purple, but fits well. I love how other people look in a muscle tee, but to me it just doesn’t look right.
This Madewell Alna V Neck Sweater ($59.99) is so soft and breathable, I love how it feels! It’s a big size though, I think the XS is too big for me.
beauty picks
To the big harvest! I ended up with more than I expected. This is what I bought as a sample.
Byredo Eau de Parfum Les Triples Set ($95, $104 value) tops the list, along with Mojave Ghost, Bal D’Afrique and Gypsy Water. All three fragrances are phenomenal fragrances. The mini-packs are 8ml each and do not come with a nebuliser, but do have a twist-off cap. I 100% think all minis should come with spray. I bought it anyway – the mini is cute! Check out the full size 50ml and mini 8ml sizes below.
The Slip Pure Silk Scratch Tie ($44) has some fun colors in this year’s set. They also have some pretty pillowcase + scrunchie sets ($86 each) in caramel and white (both with queen-size pillowcases).
lip set
The Bobbi Brown Crushed Lip Duo ($32, $64 value) is available in two full sizes: Telluride Crushed Lip Color and Free Spirit Oil-Infused Gloss. I love both formulas. I think these colors are great neutrals to wear. Even though I already have Free Spirit, which is a no-brainer, I really love the formula.
The MAC lip gloss kit did not disappoint, despite the duplication of the lip liner. I really like the Treasure Lip Kits ($30 special). Unisex options include A Way With Words’ Powder Kiss lipstick and Soar’s lip liner. The pink set includes Powder Kiss Lipstick in Forgotten Bloom and Lip Liner in Dervish. I love pink suits!
The At First Lip Kit ($28) comes in two gorgeous neutrals that I can see myself wearing a lot. Rose Recollection is a neutral pink with gold shimmer, while Pleased to Be Here is a stunning gold shimmer.
Charlotte Tilbury has another Pillow Talk Lip Kit ($62, $92 value). I didn’t realize I already had Jewel Lips Gloss, but if you don’t already have lip balm or eyeliner, this set is really great. Below are swatches of all the Pillow Talk shades in different formulas, including Lip Luster, Collagen Lip Bath, and Blur Lips.
The Westman Atelier Petite Lit Up Stick Set ($40) has very cute Nectar and Brulee mini sticks. The kit is a little pricey for its size, but I think it’s a great way to try them out. They are super easy to use up or put in your travel bag without taking up much space.
For skin care, I splurge on the Augustinus Bader On the Go Refresh Set ($140). I have tried both formulas and absolutely love them. I do think they lived up to the hype 100%. The kit also comes with a mini eye cream, which I haven’t tried but am excited about too.
Tom Ford Beauty is offering the same Daytime Classic Eye & Lip Mini Set ($90) as the previous set. It comes with a full-size Tiger Eye Quad, Casablanca and a West Coast Mini Lip Gloss. I’ve owned this quad and can confirm it’s a great everyday neutral that blends textures and colors easily.
I also picked up the Vacation Inc Duo ($28), which has SPF 50 Classic Lotion and SPF 30 Chardonnay Oil. We can never have enough sunscreen here, so I don’t mind stocking up on this set.
Something else worth mentioning: The Armani Fluid Sheer Glow Improver Set is a steal ($52 on sale, $78 value). The Mini is quite roomy for its size. It has #8 which is a pale cream pink and #10 which is a gorgeous golden bronze shimmer. Both are very beautiful. I already own a lot of highlighters, so I decided to ditch this set.
I was so excited I forgot to buy the YSL Rouge Volupte Duo ($55) or Lash Clash Duo ($39). Both are value packs. I have so much makeup to juggle right now that I’m 100% ok that I forgot to add to my buying pile.
For the men in your life, I 100% recommend Jack Black, especially the Body Best Sellers ($49). It offers three great cleansers that men can use on their body and hair (who doesn’t love a multitasking cleanser?). Andrew likes Turbo Wash very much, and he also likes Big Sir. He said he wasn’t the biggest fan of the All-Over formula, but I’ve tried it and I think it’s ok. Turbo Wash is easily the best of the bunch.
This concludes my Nsale shopping this year! If you’d like to know more, I’ve posted a beauty reel detailing even more beauty exclusives!
What did you end up buying this year? Did you find anything good!
