Manchester United have cleared the air on the situation involving Jadon Sancho and Erik Ten Hag and taken a decision on the situation between both parties.
The club released an official statement on its website on Thursday, September 14, 2023. It was confirmed in the communique that Jadon Sancho will not train with the first team pending when the disciplinary issue is sorted.
“Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.”
Recall that, the England International released a statement on his official X account after he was called out by Ten Hag after the defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Sancho debunked everything that was said about him by the Dutchman explaining that he was used as a scapegoat.
“Please don’t believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week. I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won’t go into, I have been a scapegoat for a long time which isn’t fair. All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and grateful to do so which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!.”
It remains to be seen for how long will Sancho be frozen out of the first team.
