Alex Iwobi is expected to spend a few weeks on the sidelines as a result of injury.
Iwobi limped off the pitch during Everton’s 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa last week.
The Nigeria international was replaced by Neal Maupay in the 54th minute of the encounter.
Everton confirmed the versatile midfielder sustained an hamstring injury after the game.
Manager Sean Dyche provided more updates on Iwobi’s injury during his interaction with the media on Thursday.
“Al (Iwobi) unfortunately hurt his hamstring, I think that was obvious to all. It’s not going to be days, probably a few weeks, we’ll wait and see as it heals,” he told reporters.
