So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
PEGGY GOU & LENNY KRAVITZ – “I BELIEVE IN LOVE AGAIN”

Suede are releasing a deluxe edition of last year’s great Autofiction that comes with six bonus tracks, including this one.

ANNIE-CLAUDE DESCHÊNES (DUCHESS SAYS) – “MENACE MINIMALE”
Annie-Claude Deschênes of Montreal’s Duchess Says has signed to Italians Do It Better in the US (and Bonsound in Canada). She had a song on IDIB compilation After Dark 4 and they’ve now released her official debut single which was co-produced by former Chromatics member Johnny Jewel.

FULL OF HELL & NOTHING – “LIKE STARS IN THE FIRMAMENT”
While we await the collab album from Full of Hell and Nothing, here’s second single “Like Stars in the Firmament.” This one finds them in very slow, somber shoegaze/dream pop territory.

SHALOM – FIVE DEMOS
After releasing music on Saddle Creek, Shalom has parted ways with the label, and says she’s “am now an independent artist. here are the demos i released earlier this year that i had to take down because label. freedom! and free palestine. enjoy :-)”

JODIE FASTER – “10 YEARS THAT WERE SEVEN” / CORRUPT VISION – “FUCKING COWARD”
Lille, France fast hardcore band Jodie Faster and Orange County ska-core band Corrupt Vision met while touring Southern California together in 2022, and now they have a split 7″ coming November 24 via TNSrecords. Jodie Faster’s first single is 52 seconds of classic-style hardcore, and Corrupt Vision go full powerviolence on the 30-second “Fucking Coward.”

HAHA – “NO PROMISES”
Following their debut single “Only Gets Better,” Azure Ray’s Maria Taylor and producer Mike Bloom have shared another track from their HAHA project, “No Promises.” “It’s about diving into beauty, while also exploring our tendency towards self-destructive behaviors, and navigating the ripples that are sure to follow,” Bloom says. Taylor adds, “We had a slightly different approach with this one, taking each of our melodies and weaving them together, but also making sure to keep the retrospective aesthetic. Our previous single made me want to take a long summer drive with the windows down and this song makes me want to dance.”

JOLIE LAIDE (NINA NASTASIA & JEFF MACLEOD) – “MOVE AWAY TOWNS”
Nina Nastasia and Jeff MacLeod will release their self-titled debut album as Jolie Laide on November 17 via Oscar St. Records, and new single “Move Away Towns” finds them in soft, dreamy territory.

YOUBET – “CARSICK”
Brooklyn’s youbet have signed to Hardly Art and shared their first new music for the label, new single “Carsick,” a mellow indie rock track.

ROSIE TUCKER – “UNENDING BLISS”
Rosie Tucker is back with a new single, “Unending Bliss,” which they say “is about petty personal beef and, simultaneously, about my fury at the material conditions that encourage us to treat each other like crap in order to survive. The lyrics are important: the skipping stone lays out the precarious momentum of rage alongside an underhanded warning to those of us living in glass houses.”

NO TURNING BACK – “NO FEAR OF PAIN”
Long-running Netherlands hardcore band No Turning Back will release the Conquer EP on November 22 via Triple B, and here’s the badass lead single “No Fear of Pain.”

ANGRY BLACKMEN – “STANLEY KUBRICK”
Chicago experimental rap duo Angry Blackmen have announced a new album, The Legend of ABM, due January 26 via Deathbomb Arc, and the first single is the noisy “Stanley Kubrick.”

FLUNG – “INTRINSIC”
Following albums on Topshelf and Citrus City, Oakland experimental pop artist Flung has signed to Get Better Records and her first single for the label is “Intrinisic.”

SINKANE FT TRU OSBORNE – “EVERYTHING IS EVERYTHING”
Sinkane goes ’70s soul on this new single featuring the smooth vocals of Tru Osborne.

ELEPHANT STONE – “HISTORY REPEATING”
“History has a haunting tendency to repeat itself, from the scars of colonialism to the rise of authoritarian regimes,” says Elephant Stone frontman and songwriter Rishi Dhir. “It’s as if we’re trapped in a loop, forever replaying the same tragedies. ‘History Repeating’ is my way of confronting these harsh realities, particularly as they relate to my home country of Canada, which was built on the deeply troubling foundations of genocide and ethnic cleansing targeted at Indigenous peoples. In recent years, thanks to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, the appalling truths about our past have been laid bare…This song serves as an urgent plea: let’s break the cycle. Let’s learn from the darkest chapters of our history to create a more just and compassionate future.” New album Back into the Dream is out in February.

CHANEL BEADS – “POLICE SCANNER”
Chanel Beads, the musical project of NYC’s Shane Lavers, has signed to Jagjaguwar and released his first single for the label. Lavers says “Police Scanner” is “an anger at the lack of virtue in the world.”

YUMI ZOUMA – “KICKING UP DAISIES”
New Zealand’s Yumi Zouma are back with this new single that puts a little “rock” in their signature dreampop sound.

SLEATER-KINNEY – SAY IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT”
It’s the latest single from Sleater-Kinney’s upcoming Little Rope and the Carrie Browstein-directed video stars J. Smith-Cameron who played Gerri on Succession.

BOLTS OF MELODY (SWERVEDRIVER’S ADAM FRANKLIN) – “555”
Swervedriver’s Adam Franklin has revived his other band, Bolts of Melody, who will release new album Film Noir in January. This is the cinematic first single.

AMARO FREITAS – “ENCANTADOS”
Brazilian composer and pianist Amaro Freitas has announced new album Y’Y, which will be out March 1 via Sylvan Esso’s Psychic Hotline label. Freitas co-produced the album with Laercio Costa and Vinicius Aquino, and it features contributions from Shabaka Hutchings, Brandee Younger, Jeff Parker, and more. This is the first single.
