Drake‘s new album For All the Dogs was released today. The 23-track record includes appearances from Bad Bunny, J. Cole, SZA, Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, 21 Savage, Teezo Touchdown, Yeat, and PartyNextDoor, and he samples Frank Ocean on opener “Virginia Beach.” He also works in the chorus of Pet Shop Boys‘ hit “West End Girls” in the song “All the Parties,” featuring Chief Keef… which PSB’s Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe don’t seem to be too happy about.
“Surprising to hear @Drake singing the chorus of “West End girls” in the track “All the Parties” on his new album,” Pet Shop Boys wrote on their social media. “No credit given or permission requested.”
The credits for “All the Parties” list Drake as the song’s composer and lyricist, along with B. Saint Fort, Coleman, Fierce, H. Arsenault, Jdolla, M. Bidaye, and M. Samuels.
You can hear the “West End Girls” interpolation in “All the Parties” at the 2:37 mark in the song, below.
