Porno for Pyros released their first new song in 26 years, “Agua,” last month, and now they’ve followed it with “Pete’s Dad.” On Instagram, the band call the “from the vault” track a “previously unreleased bootleg” (it came out as a promo single in 1993, with a remixed version following in 1995), and it’s about guitarist Pete DiStefano’s father beating cancer. “Best friends are people of action, when Porno for Pyros created this song ‘Pete’s Dad’ that’s when I knew these band of men were my best friends,” Pete says.
Porno for Pyros’ reunion-turned-farewell tour begins in February and includes NYC-area shows at Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on March 7, Hammerstein Ballroom on March 8, and Montclair’s Wellmont Theater on March 10. See all dates below.
