Prince‘s 1991 album Diamonds and Pearls, his first with band New Power Generation that features hits “Gett Off,” “Cream,” “Insatiable,” “Money Don’t Matter 2 Night” and the title track, is the latest to get the reissue treatment, with a slew of previously unreleased tracks unearthed from the artist’s vast vaults. It’s out October 27 in a variety of editions.
The Super Deluxe edition features a whopping 47 bonus tracks from the Prince Vaults, and is a 12-LP vinyl set that also comes with a Blu-ray. Those bonus tracks include 33 unreleased studio recordings, a 14-song live album from 1992, plus b-sides, remixes, single mixes, edits, and more. Along with the original album, they’ve all been remastered for this reissue. The Blu-ray features the videos from the album plus various live performances from the era, and more. There’s also a 120-page book featuring rare and previously unseen photos by Randee St. Nicholas, an intro written by Public Enemy’s Chuck D, plus essays, new liner notes and more.
