Chelsea fans might just see the club’s captain, Reece James in action sooner than expected following the recent update by sports journalists.
As Chelsea fans eagerly anticipate the return of the captain Reece James reports speculate that the skipper might make his return ahead of an all important fixture against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal which would be played on October 21, 2023.
Reece James who has been absent from the team for over a month following a reported injury sustained during training, is expected to reach match fitness before the end of October, he might however not feature in the London derby match as the skipper was recently charged by the English FA following an outburst to a match official following Chelsea’s defeat at the hands of Aston Villa.
The England international has not featured in any fixture for Chelsea after he was subbed off in the first match of the Premier League season against Liverpool. The Blues however might not have to rush James back as the option of Marc Cucurella at the right back position can now be explored following the Spanish international’s performance in the Carabao Cup fixture against Brighton.
