Recently, Harnaaz Sandhu received the congratulations of the whole world when he was crowned the most prestigious title of the Miss Universe pageant. The 21-year-old girl has become the 70th Miss Universe at the biggest contest on this planet. One of the best parts of Miss Universe 2021 that left an impression on the au∂ιєnce was the answer in the final round. She mentioned a quote used by RM during his speech at the UN in 2018.
First, congratulations to Harnaaz Sandhu – a 21-year-old ïńďïän girl who won the prestigious Miss Universe crown. Next, you will probably be quite surprised about the connection between Miss Universe and BTS, right? Because it’s not natural for us to mention her and RM’s speech at the UN 3 years ago.
Specifically, in the final part of the recent Miss Universe contest, Harnaaz Sandhu was asked in the behavioral section that: “Which advice would you give to young women watching and how to deal with the pressures they face today?”. She confidently gave her answer fluently: “Stop comparing yourseIves with others and let’s talk bout more important things that is happening worldwide. Know that you are unique and that’s what makes beautiful.. .. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. I believe in myself that’s why I’m standing here today.”
Perhaps it was her confident reply and her “love myself” point of view that made Harnaaz Sandhu achieve the highest title at this contest. Besides, the phrase “Speak for yourself” that Miss Universe 2021 used reminds many people of the phrase “Speak Yourself” by RM in his speech at the UN in 2018, 3 years ago. This makes ARMYs extremely proud because BTS’s “Love myself, love yourself” concept is widespread and it was mentioned in a world-cla̾s̾s competition by the winner.
Many ARMYs have left comments about this on Twitter:

– Maybe Miss India is an Army Lol
– First thing I thought after listening to her was is she an ARMY??
– I instantly remembered BTS when I saw her answering the question
– The way BTS were the first one to come to mind when I heard her speech
– they really use their platforms to inspire others
– Who knows, our girl must be an army
– when I heard her answer, bts came up to my mind..
Even the phrase Miss Universe BTS, Miss Universe BTS Speech became a trending keyword for many hours.
In 2018, BTS was at the United Nations headquarters in New York to attend an event called “Generation Unlimited”. Here, as an amba̾s̾sador for UNICEF’s project to combat víσlєncє and protect children and young people around the world, RM gave a short speech to inspire young people with the message ” Love myself”. Here with the question “I would like to ask all of you. What is your name? What excites you and makes your heart beat?”, RM gave a message calling for everyone “No matter who you are, where you’re from, your skin colour, gender identity: speak yourself”. And now, in 2021, we hear this phrase again at Miss Universe.
Some ARMYs also considered as if Miss Universe 2021 is an ARMY. Because she used the quote from RM’s speech and she also used “Save Me” piano version for her Instagram’s story long ago. Recently, Miss Universe’s official Instagram also use “My Universe” for her short video on this account.
Many people think that because she is at the age of 21 so she maybe also has the interest in Kpop and specially, BTS. But after all, even she is or is not, still proud of her achievement and she reminded us the RM’s iconic speech at UN many years ago.
