ROD WAVE / ARI LENNOX
Rod Wave has announced the Nostalgia Tour with Ari Lennox, plus Toosii, G Herbo and Eelmatic. Things begin October 19 in Lincoln, NE and hit Brooklyn at Barclays Center on November 1.
BOB DYLAN
Bob Dylan begins a new leg of his Rough and Rowdy Ways tour in October, and when he announced those dates in August, he promised “more Fall 2023 dates will be announced soon.” He’s now added November shows on the East Coast, including Brooklyn and other area shows.
THE MARS VOLTA
The Mars Volta head out on tour this week, starting Wednesday, 9/13 in Minneapolis and hits NYC for a BrooklynVegan-presented show at Kings Theatre on September 22.
DEAD AHEAD 2024
The inaugural Dead Ahead Festival happens on January 12-15, 2024 at Moon Palace Resort in Riviera Cancún, Mexico and will “celebrate the Grateful Dead songbook featuring two nights of curated collaborations themed ‘Dead Ahead’ with Bobby Weir, Mickey Hart, Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, Don Was & Jay Lane featuring Derek Trucks, Susan Tedeschi, Rick Mitarotonda, Margo Price and very special guest Sturgill Simpson.”
JOE RUSSO’S ALMOST DEAD
If you can’t make it to Mexico, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead returns to Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on January 12, 13 & 14. They’ve also just announced shows in Madison, WI and Chicago. Head here for their full tour schedule.
JOHN STROHM (BLAKE BABIES, LEMONHEADS)
John P Strohm, who you may know from Blake Babies, Lemonheads and Antenna, is releasing his first solo album in 15 years this month, and he’ll be celebrating a little early in NYC on Sunday, September 17 at Mercury Lounge, opening for The Silos’ Walter Salas-Humara which is just ahead of his DC and Saxapahaw show with Lemonheads.
TREVOR NOAH
Trevor Noah is currently on his extensive Off The Record world tour, with shows in South Africa, India and Dubai before he heads to North America starting October 6 in Richmond, VA. He’s added lots more stops since announcing the tour, including a record-setting 10th consecutive Beacon Theatre show.
NATURAL WONDER BEAUTY CONCEPT (DJ PYTHON & ANA ROXANNE)
Natural Wonder Beauty Concept, the duo of DJ Python and Ana Roxanne, released their self-titled debut album back in July and have a couple Northeast shows this month ahead of a UK/EU tour: Brooklyn’s Union Pool on September 19 and Philly’s Making Time Festival on September 22.
THE VOIDZ
Last week, The Voidz announced a three-show NYC residency, happening on October 31 and November 1 and 2 at Murmrr Theatre, celebrating the re-opening of the venue, Halloween, and the 10-year anniversary of another Brooklyn venue, Baby’s All Right. Those shows are now sold out, so they’ve added a fourth.
MADDER ROSE
’90s-era NYC indie rock band Madder Rose officially reactivated in 2019 but are only now getting ready to play their first show since the ’90s.
