Ambient composer Roger Eno (also brother of Brian Eno) releases his new album the skies, they shift like chords on Friday (10/13) via Deutsche Grammophon. “Basically, it’s about transience,” Roger says. While no full tracks have been shared from the album, you can watch an interview with him featuring a few musical snippets below.
Roger will be performing concerts around the world in support of the album, and “The Skies” tour includes a stop at Big Ears 2024. After that, he’ll stay in the US for shows at Los Angeles’ Masonic Lodge on March 27 and Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on March 29 with ACME. Roger will be playing solo piano, and also be accompanied by his daughter, Cecily Eno, on vocals, a string quintet and guitar, and “an arresting backdrop of filmic visuals.” Tickets to both shows go on sale Friday, October 13 at 9 AM local time.
