The standing captain of the Red Devils of Belgium men’s football team, Romelu Lukaku could be integrated back into Chelsea’s first team.
Chelsea have been looking to offload Romelu Lukaku out of the club but this has not yielded any positive result. According to Sky Sports Italy journalist Di Marzio, the Blues manager, Mauricio Pochettino is set to have a conversation with the forward player and see how to be useful for the club.
Lukaku fell out with everyone at Chelsea following his interview with Sky Sports during the first season of his second return. This led him to leave the Blues on loan to Inter Milan but he also fell out with the Serie A club because he was speaking with Juventus while Inter were trying to seal a deal with Chelsea on a permanent deal.
Chelsea need a striker and they also need to offload Lukaku or they continue paying him while he plays for the U-21 team. Pochettino might decide to bring him back into the first-team if they fail to sign another striker before the 2023 transfer window closes.
However, Chelsea will be able to offload Lukaku if they can reduce his price tag. The Blues bought him from Inter Milan during the 2021 summer transfer window for £97 million. This has been regarded as one of the worst transfers in the history of the club.
