indian musician Sid Sriram Having been making music for a number of years, known for his fresh interpretations of South Indian Carnatic music and songs featured in several Bollywood films, he has recently ventured into the American indie rock scene. He recently hosted an NPR Tiny Desk concert featuring Mike Noyce (Bon Iver, Gayngs), drummer Greg Fox (ex-Liturgy, Uniform, Zs) and Chris Egan (!!!, Solange, Blood Orange). , bassist Adam Hulbrut (Gayngs), and more, who also recorded the upcoming Def Jam debut album Siddhas exist Bon Iver leader justin vernonstudio with Ryan Olson (of Gaines and Polica) production, with Justin also assisting. He’s also scheduled to open some of Bon Iver’s US shows this August.
Released on August 25, the album’s lead single, “The Hard Way,” is a jingle, experimental pop song that’s not unlike the electronic/auto-tune genre of Bon Iver or the early James Blake and Fans are very similar.
