Steely Dan have had to drop off a number of their dates with the Eagles due to illness. While there has been no official word on details, the Indy Star reports that on Monday night, at their first of their two Indianapolis shows, Don Henley told the crowd that Steely Dan frontman Donald Fagen had been hospitalized, and thanked Steve Miller for filling in at the last moment. “The show must go on,” Henley said.
The Indy Star also reports that five Eagles crew members recently tested positive for Covid.
Sheryl Crow filled in for Steely Dan at their Denver shows last week and Steve Miller will also open the10/13 Detroit show, while Vince Gill, who plays in the Eagles these days, will open the 10/15 show in Pittsburgh. Steely Dan are still listed as opening the 10/17 show and Cleveland and all dates beyond that.
Get better soon, Donald Fagen!
