As promised, Minor Threat have celebrated the 40th anniversary of 1983’s classic Out of Step by releasing the Out of Step Outtakes EP. It features alternate recordings of their classic songs “In My Eyes” and “Filler” with two guitars, as well as “Addams Family,” the last of which ended up being partially used as a coda to Out of Step‘s hidden track “Cashing In.” The other two tracks were never mixed and went shelved until 2021, when Ian MacKaye and producer Don Zientara rediscovered the songs and mixed them, along with the full version of “Addams Family.”
