Sufjan Stevens has announced a new album, Javelin, which will be out October 6 via Asthmatic Kitty. His first in three years, the record was made primarily by Sufjan on his own, with harmonies provided by adrienne maree brown, Hannah Cohen, Pauline Delassus, Megan Lui and Nedelle Torrisi, and guitar from Bryce Dessner on “Shit Talk.” In addition to nine originals, Javelin also includes a cover of Neil Young’s “Thereʼs A World.”
