Sunny Day Real Estate have announced a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their massively influential debut album Diary for this year. Dates span from March through October, and the run will find them performing the classic album in full. Tickets go on sale Friday (1/26) at 10 AM with presales starting Tuesday (1/23) at 10 AM.
The band also announced Diary – Live At London Bridge Studio, live-in-studio version of Diary that also includes the band’s first new song in 10 years, “Novum Vetus.” According to a press release, the over-seven-minute song was conceived during the recording sessions for 1998’s How It Feels To Be Something On, and it was recorded by original members Jeremy Enigk, Dan Hoerner, and William Goldsmith at Seattle’s London Bridge Studio with Greg Suran and Chris Jordan during the same sessions that produced the new live-in-studio recordings of Diary. The album comes out May 3, and “Novum Vetus” comes out this Friday (1/26), the same day album pre-orders launch.
