Indie cult legends The Bevis Frond will release new album Focus on Nature on March 1 via Fire. (Depending on how you count, this is around their 26th album.) Bandleader Nick Saloman produced the double album and made it with drummer Dave Pearce, bassist Louis Wiggett, and guitarists Paul Simmons and Bari Watts. Check out the artwork and tracklist below.
Nearly 40 years into their career, Salomon has carved out a distinct, ringing, ragged sound which falls somewhere between Teenage Fanclub and Dinosaur Jr (two bands who have cited The Bevis Frond as an influence). The album’s title track is a great example of what they do and not a bad place for the uninitiated to start. Listen to “Focus on Nature” below.
