The Lemonheads are gearing up to have a big 2024, with a new 7″ single due out soon and their first new album of original material since 2006. (Evan Dando did release two Varshons covers albums in 2009 and 2019.) There’s also an expanded edition of their 1996 album Car Button Cloth. Details have not been shared on any of those things, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, The Lemonheads will ring in 2024 in Chicago with three nights at Evanston’s The Space with Kiwi Jr opening. On 12/29 they’ll play It’s a Shame About Ray in full, plus other favorites; on 12/30 they’ll play Come on Feel the Lemonheads in full, plus other favorites; and on 12/31 it’s a “New Years Extravaganza.” Tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 27 at 10 AM Central.
