The Linda Lindas release their retro new single “Resolution/Revolution” ahead of their set at Lollapalooza later this week.
The school-aged punk outfit have had a whirlwind summer, to say the least. Earlier this summer, they released diner-inspired “Too Many Things.” Last month, the band closed Bratmobile’s first show in two decades to assist the riot grrrl icons with a cover of the Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb.” Now, the Linda Lindas are rocking out stadiums as they spend the summer opening for Paramore on their arena tour.
“Resolution/Revolution,” a spirited punk tirade, pays homage to the teen band’s riot grrrl influences, with a thumping ’90s bassline and crunching guitars. A product of generations of underground music in LA and beyond, the Linda Lindas channel post-punk into timelessly catchy songs.

“Bela had been rocking out to a lot of Pantera and Judas Priest when we started writing ‘Resolution/Revolution,'” the band say of their latest track. “She came in with a riff, and as we worked together, it morphed into a composition about making small dents in big problems to make a difference in the long run.” The nostalgic lyric music video features clips that the band shot on their phones over the last few months.
The Linda Lindas will hit Lollapalooza on Aug. 5 and continue their summer North American tour with Paramore. Following the Paramore shows, the quartet will open for Yeah Yeah Yeahs in Mexico.
