Erika M. Anderson (EMA, Gowns), producer Vice Cooler, and guitarist Sarah Register (one half of Talk Normal) have a new project, Thrash Palace. After a 48-hour recording session in Cooler’s studio, they’ve released their debut singles, the propulsive, distorted “Go” (which is accompanied by a video directed and edited by Cooler) and its hushed, murky b-side, “Teenage Spaceship.” Hear both below.
Both tracks are available as a limited-edition 7″ through volume 8 of Sub Pop’s Singles Club.
We last heard new material from EMA with 2017’s Exile In The Outer Ring and its accompanying 2018 Outtakes EP. She also toured with Depeche Mode that year, and in 2021 covered Modest Mouse for an Under the Radar compilation.
