Blood Incantation recently announced a nearly-20-minute new two-song single that will contain their first death metal song in years, and now Canadian death metal greats Tomb Mold have finally announced a new album, The Enduring Spirit, which will be out THIS FRIDAY digitally, and on October 13 (physical media) via 20 Buck Spin. It was mixed and mastered by Arthur Rizk (whose band Cold World we were watching make a rare appearance live on stage just two nights ago), and you can see the psychedelic cover art, designed by Jesse Jacobi, and the tracklist below.
This will be Tomb Mold’s first album since 2019’s great Planetary Clairvoyance, but the band also released a somewhat under-the-radar surprise 3-song EP in June 2022 (stream that below).
“After 3 years spent spiralling in the cycle reincarnate necessity, a myriad of consciousness have now become one,” the band write. “Prolong the final death spiral of nature and dive into the gnashing current of The Enduring Spirit of Calamity.”
TM’s Derrick Vella also plays on this year’s killer new Outer Heaven album Infinite Psychic Depths.
Tomb Mold also announced a couple of Canadian release shows for the album. See all dates below, and let’s hope more shows start appearing soon.
