Trevor Horn, the superproducer who has worked with everyone from Yes to Seal, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Tatu, and Belle & Sebastian — and who co-founded groups The Buggles and Art of Noise and cofounded ZTT Records — will release new album Echoes: Ancient & Modern on December 1 via Deutsche Grammophon.
The album features reinterpretations of hit singles he loves, some of which he originally produced, featuring a whole bunch of guest vocalists and musicians including Tori Amos singing Kendrick Lamar‘s ” Swimming Pools (Drank),” Seal singing Joe Jackson‘s “Steppin’ Out,” Iggy Pop singing Depeche Mode‘s “Personal Jesus,” Ric Astley on a cover of Yes‘ “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” Soft Cell‘s Marc Almond covering Pat Benatar‘s “Love is a Battlefield,” Toyah & Robert Fripp on Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax,” and more.
