UK ska-punks Call Me Malcolm recently announced their new album (and Bad Time Records debut) Echoes and Ghosts, and now they’ve announced their first-ever US shows. Call Me Malcolm and their Bad Time labelmates Kill Lincoln will both open for Boston ska vets Big & the Kids Table in Boston and Brooklyn, and after that, CMM and Kill Lincoln play another show together in DC.
The Big D shows, billed as “Halfway to Halloween,” go down on May 10 at Crystal Ballroom in Somerville with Boston ska band Pink Slip providing additional support and May 11 at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn with additional support from New Hampshire punks Hell Beach, who are signed to Bad Time’s punk-leaning subsidiary Uncle Style Records.
The Kill Lincoln/Call Me Malcolm DC show is on May 12 at Comet Ping Pong with another Uncle Style band, Brace Face.
Big D and the Kids Table also have two upcoming festival appearances: Camp Punksylvania and Supernova International Ska Festival.
Kill Lincoln are also doing a San Francisco one-off on March 16 at Thee Parkside with The Atom Age.
And speaking of Bad Time (and Bad Time-adjacent) bands playing Saint Vitus, We Are The Union, Half Past Two, Devon Kay & the Solutions, and Big D-related band The Pomps are doing a Northeast run in April that kicks off at Saint Vitus on April 18. That four-show run includes two nights opening for The Suicide Machines, including Bensalem, PA’s This Is Not Croydon Fest. All dates on the tour poster below.
