V of BTS has shared “Rainy Days,” the opening track from his forthcoming solo album, Layover. Watch the accompanying music video below.
The BTS vocalist mixes pop and R&B on the piano-driven track, in which he sings wistfully about mending a broken relationship. “Let me make up for all the time we lost,” he croons. “We can start again, open all the doors/ Don’t tell me it’s over, we can start it over.”
Directed by Shin Dongle, the music video captures a rare ordinary day in the life of the superstar musician. After dallying in bed, V wrangles up some food as his dog looks on and falls asleep with cartoons playing in the background. Overall, it’s pretty relatable stuff! Watch the clip below.
Spanning six tracks, Layover is slated for release on September 8th. Previously, V shared “Love Me Again” as the lead single.
The solo effort follows projects from V’s bandmates Jungkook, j-hope, RM, Jimin, SUGA, and Jin. The supergroup had to take a pause so each member could complete his mandatory service period in the South Korean military. Earlier this week, SUGA joined Jin and j-hope in active duty.
