Brooklyn singer Lætitia Tamko, recording under that name homelessReleased “Do Your Worst,” the latest single from her upcoming album, Sorry I didn’t call, Deadline is September 15, via Nonesuch Records. This is the third track released from the project.exist sorry i haven’t called yetTamko promises some of the funniest, most adventurous music of her career. “I don’t want to be introspective. I just want to have fun,” Tamko said.
Produced by Tamko, Rostam and Teo Halm (SZA, Rosalía, FKA twigs), this sparkling track lives up to expectations. The dance floor track combines jungle beats of drum and bass, sweet vocals and Moby-esque filmmaking to find buttery, soulful action through strobe lights. The video, directed by Angela Ricciardi, features a dreamlike vision of Tamko dancing against city lights.

“When Teo Halm and I co-produced this piece, I was nestled in the German countryside and I was experimenting late into the night in my home studio. I listened to a lot of club music, and then I started working on an instrument that was taken from what you would hear in an underground club in Germany or the UK, but still in the Vagabon music lexicon,” explains Tamko. “A year later, when I came back to the US, I got Rostam involved, and he had a great idea to add a layer of live drums layered on top of the breakbeats from my German recordings.”
except she is in Pitchfork Festival Vagabon will set off this fall in Chicago this weekend for a headlining tour in the U.S. with support from Nourished By Time and a European tour with Weyes Blood.
