violinist‘s new album, death means nothing to usis getting closer, and today the post-hardcore band will drop another preview of the single “Sleepyhead.”
The candid new song is accompanied by a music video that shows a man shuffling on a pillow in a depressive state. Frontman Pat Flynn also warned that “the song doesn’t have a really great lyrical edge.”

“At the end of the day, it’s a song about giving up and turning away from the brokenness of life on earth in favor of quick comfort. It’s a conversation between two people or two minds. And depressed sad people who choose to deal with the sadness of it all by oversleeping.
“However, there is a voice of reason in it that offers perspective, but it doesn’t help, as the two voices come together and succumb to the weight that heavy ‘deep depression’ might have on someone. The arc is crucial, and it ultimately turns out to be climbing out of such a sad state. So, maybe that’s the upside?” he continued.
