My Bloody Valentine‘s Kevin Shields unveiled a signature Fender Blender guitar pedal earlier this summer (and included new music on 100 hand-numbered copies sold through Reverb). Fender, who also has a $299.99 edition of the pedal listed on their site (it’s currently sold out), has shared a new “behind the scenes” video of it in action, with Dinosaur Jr.‘s J Mascis helping Shields test it out. Over half an hour they wring some seriously fuzzed-out sounds out of J’s guitar. Watch below.
J recently listed 10 guitarists who shaped his sound, as he gears up for Dinosaur Jr.‘s Where You Been 30th anniversary shows in London (November 12-15 at The Garage) and Brooklyn (Music Hall of Williamsburg on December 1-3 and 5-8).
