boygenius are back on the road supporting their excellent 2023 debut full length, the record, and while in Vancouver they stopped at Neptune Records to visit Nardwuar for an interview and gift-a-thon. The gifts included a boost pedal custom-made for the trio with three inputs:
Their far-ranging conversation touches on the meaning of the trio’s matching tattoos, the first songs they each played on guitar, their early bands, crying on stage, Neko Case, Bruce Springsteen, the fan-organized rainbow lighting up the crowd in Toronto, Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt’s Trio albums, ’80s drum sounds, Shania Twain’s “Man!
