Daryl Hall and Robert Fripp are old friends, as they worked on each other’s debut solo albums (Fripp’s 1979 LP, Exposure, and Hall’s 1980 LP, Sacred Songs). The King Crimson guitarist visited Hall’s home studio in Pawling, NY earlier this year for an episode of the recently revived Live From Daryl’s House YouTube series where they caught up, shared a meal, told stories — including about seeing The Ramones together in the ’70s — and played a few songs with Hall’s band, including songs from both of their solo albums, David Bowie’s “Heroes” (which Fripp played on), King Crimson’s “Red,” and more.
