Weyes Blood is an avid horror fan (and DVD lover); she’s put that into music videos before, and has done so again with “Twin Flame,” from last year’s great And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow. Directed by Ambar Navarro, the video has Weyes Blood’s Natalie Mering playing dual roles as “A yearning soul wandering the empty halls of a dark castle after her mysterious husband has ridden off on horseback into the night,” as well as her “spiritual nemesis.” It’s more vibey than plot-driven but fans of the castles-and-candles video genre (Stevie Nicks, Bonnie Tyler, Meat Loaf) will enjoy this one. Weyes Blood just wrapped up dates opening for Beck and Phoenix, including a stop at Madison Square Garden, and has upcoming California dates with Perfume Genius and Lael Neale coming up.
