London band Girl Ray are gearing up for their first US tour in five years. The trio (Poppy Hankin, Iris McConnell and Sophie Moss) will be aided by Luce Rushton as a fourth live member on this tour which supports their great third album Prestige. It’s very expensive for foreign bands to tour the US, between visas, travel and everything else, and Girl Ray have launched an IndieGoGo campaign to help with costs. “We’ve been working at this for a long time, it’s what we love. We’ve been getting attention in the USA more than ever before, and this is a huge opportunity for us. We really want to make this happen (without going into crippling debt lol).” They’re offering a number of bespoke items for donors at different levels, including exclusive tour shirts like the ones they’re wearing at the top of this post.
