So many artists, so many songs, so little time. JUST MUSTARD – “I AM YOU” SPACE AFRIKA REMIX
Irish band Just Mustard have released a new remix of “I Am You” by Space Africa who take the original — from the band’s 2022 album Heart Under — into ambient territory. The band are supporting The Cure this fall at South American dates surrounding Primavera Sound Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo.

ONE TRUE PAIRING (EX WILD BEASTS) – “FROZEN FOOD CENTRE”
One True Pairing, aka former Wild Beast co-leader Tom Fleming, is back with this new single. “There’s a Chris Marker quote, ‘I have been around the world several times, and now only banality interests me,’” Tom says. “Places that aren’t on the map and may not ever be. Well-kept gardens, ring roads, clusters of identical houses. Ghouls ten years your senior seeping out of the cracks. They know your name and your habits, drifting under the floodlights in the car park.”

COLOURING – “FOR YOU”
Jack Kenworthy will release Love To You, Mate, his new album as Colouring, on February 23 via Bella Union. “I’ve always been on the side of making up scenarios rather than being really honest about my life within my music,” Jack says of the album. “This is the first time I’ve been able to do that. I’ve been less scared of it because it’s not my story. It’s a shared one.” This is the first single

HOT GARBAGE – “MYSTERY”
Toronto’s Hot Garbage are gearing up to release their second album, Precious Dream, on January 19 via Mothland. New single “Mystery” is a noisy blast of psych-rock.

YOUR OLD DROOG – “JORJA SMITH”
New York rapper Your Old Droog has released a new single, with a lurching beat and a hook that makes reference to UK soul/R&B singer Jorja Smith, who the song is also named after.

SAXON – “HELL, FIRE, AND DAMNATION”
British heavy metal legends Saxon have announced their 24th album, Hell, Fire And Damnation, due January 19 via Silver Lining Music. The title track is out now, and it finds the band staying true to their wailing ’80s days.

SADUS – “ANARCHY”
Speaking of veteran metal bands, East Bay thrash vets Sadus just released their first album in 17 years, The Shadow Inside, along with a lyric video for the very ripping song “Anarchy.”

BODY / NEGATIVE – “SLEEPY” FT. MIDWIFE
Ambient artist body / negative’s new album everett is out in December, and they’ve shared another of the songs featuring Midwife, the lullaby “Sleepy,” which is dedicated to their parents.

ESCUELA GRIND – “BALL AND CHAIN”
Escuela Grind have announced the DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL EP and a tour, alongside the release of lead single “Ball and Chain.” Read more here.

SLEAFORD MODS – “WEST END GIRLS”
Sleaford Mods have covered Pet Shop Boys’ classic single with proceeds going to charity Shelter. Pet Shop Boys gave the song a cosign…and a remix.

BJORK – “ORAL” FT. ROSALÍA
