There is a blog post due this week; the title of the draft post is Has there ever been a sexier power couple?? It’s a six-hundred-word rave about the wonders of Beauty Pie’s Youthbomb Concentrate and Youthbomb Collagen Peptide Cream, especially when used together. A plumper-skinned, bouncier combo has yet to hit me—a revelation, and I’m speeding through bottles and jars like a woman obsessed.
But I’ve been sitting on this draft post for five weeks or so, wondering if this This week is the right time to post it, or maybe That The week is going to be better, and the reason I’m deliberate is because Beauty Pie sent me a sample of a product that was having trouble at work. A new addition to the Youthbomb series, covering everything from power couple can only be described as… expert threesome.
Looking at it now, there’s no judgment here, but I’ve never been convinced by the idea of a threesome. Zero temptation. It’s mentally and physically taxing enough to try to work with one person, let alone two. Someone must have been left out all the time – if not, then the cohabitant must have more coordination skills than me. I can’t even reverse the car if the stereo is playing because my ears take up too much brain space.
So human threesomes: that’s a no-go for me. But what about Beauty Pie and their new Youthbomb product? Yeah. Oh oh yes. (They’d be absolutely thrilled with this off-road introduction, I just knew it.) They’ve formulated what I believe to be their most effective, results-driven product to date, Dual Retinol Action Skin Repair Serum*, It incorporates high performance 360 Radiance Concentrate and Bio Collagen Peptide Cream Form an absolute performing trio.
If you’re tired of wondering what really works for your tired, slightly saggy, dull skin, and you just want straight-forward results, then this is the one for you. It used to be truly amazing, but the new serum takes things to a whole new level.
And the excellent Radiance Concentrate (find it online here*) Focusing on using a blend of peptides and other powerful active ingredients to firm, brighten, glow and help hydrate, while Bio-Cream adds 18 active ingredients in a rich, skin-plumping base, the brand’s new serum Liquid joins the Youthbomb range with a double dose of the industry’s gold standard ingredient: retinol.
Dual Retinol Action Skin Overhaul Serum uses two types of retinol – microencapsulated retinol and granular retinol – to address just about every aging skin concern you can think of. If you haven’t read about why retinol is so popular in the skincare world, let me break it down for you: it works for wrinkles, fine lines, uneven skin tone, dullness, lack of firmness, wrinkles etc. Questions I no longer remember, the results were both profound and visible. I say this because I’ve been testing different brands and different strengths of retinol for a while now.
How is it different from Beauty Pie’s new Skin Repair Serum? Not only does it contain retinoids with all the benefits above, but the formula also includes a dose of lactic acid and niacinamide. Lactic Acid gently exfoliates the skin’s surface (helping other actives penetrate more easily), and Niacinamide strengthens the skin barrier for healthier-looking skin that is less prone to sensitivity and redness.

I feel like the new serum is a more holistic approach to using high intensity retinol with some exfoliation to boost the benefits and then adding ingredients to fortify and hydrate to keep skin looking its best and minimize deterioration risk.
In other words, it’s a Serious If you have no previous experience with retinoids, you don’t want to just want to break in and apply this product. It’s Beauty Pie’s most powerful retinoid yet, and it’s perfect for those who’ve been using the Super Retinol line (which is absolutely fantastic) and want to take it to the max. Even so, start with twice a week and gradually increase the frequency. As with my other high-potency retinoids, I’m happy to use this every other night, using my “off” days to pack on my hydrating and calming products.
then, back to expert threesome. Knowing that these three products don’t actually need to work together has put some relief from my mind-eye coordination anxiety. It’s an either/or situation, with concentrates and serums, one or the other, always followed by a glorious collagen peptide cream.
(BTW, this has become one of my go-to moisturizers. Japanfusion Power Elixir (here*) has always been my favorite for its ability to turn my face into a sort of swollen, wobbly waterbed, but the Youthbomb Cream takes that to its advantage and packs in an extra 18 active ingredients. So if you just want crazy moisture levels, go for Japanfusion Power Elixir Serum* Price is £16 if you are a member. But if you’re looking for more firming, brightening, and even skin tone benefits, then definitely consider Youthbomb, an ultra-strength face cream that’s the ultimate moisturizer. Membership fee £44, here*. )
I have a few rules when using the Dual Retinol Power Skin Overhaul Serum: I apply it to cleansed, dry skin at night and leave it on for about half an hour before applying the Youth Bomb Cream. It’s just a routine I’ve been following with my retinoids to let them kick in first before using other products. To be honest, I often forget to apply moisturizer and my skin doesn’t feel dry in the morning, but I also love the soft, bouncy effect I get immediately after using creams, so it’s good to remember to apply moisturizer. use it. Another rule: Wear sunscreen the next day. There is absolutely no room for negotiation. Beauty Pie Featherlight SPF50 is excellent, leaves no residue and is highly protective against UVA and UBV rays.Membership fee £13.50 here*.
(Just a reminder of how the membership works: Beauty Pie makes luxury items in some of the best beauty labs in the world, and they sell them direct to you. So no inflated costs of selling through middlemen. No overly fancy packaging (Although I think their packaging is really cute, very high quality and chic), no store overhead, just luxury without the luxury price tag. When you browse the site, you can see they have membership prices, and then the after Calibrated equivalent retail prices compared to similar products from luxury beauty brands. For example, Youthbomb Dual Retinol Serum*Equivalent luxury retails at £170 (if you’re a skincare lover you can immediately think of a few examples!), but membership costs £44. This is amazing for a serum of this potency and caliber. Signing up is easy, and if you do, be sure to use code RUTHSENTME to get your annual membership! You can find more member information here*. )
In short: Beauty Pie introduces its most complete and powerful product yet. It’s heroic, big guns, ostentatious, and my skin welcomes it with open arms. I love that it gives an instant glow thanks to lactic acid, and I really appreciate the added moisture in the formula since I tend to feel a bit dry after taking high-strength retinoids.
