YSL has new shades of the Candy Glaze Lip Gloss Stick ($39 each), and they’re stunning! When it originally launched in Shade 02, I tried this formula for a fairly clear juicy sheen, but the other shades never really stood out to me. Available in new colors in shades 13, 14 and 15, they won’t disappoint! I also ordered several other shades and loved each one.
The formula of YSL Candy Glaze is a jelly-like lip balm lip gloss. They have a swivel snap top and it is recommended to apply the snap six times at a time. Their formula is on the soft side. But not as soft as Mario MoistureGlow Plumping Lip Serum.
The pigment and color payoff is pretty impressive for a glossy lipstick (although 02 Sweet Pink is pretty clear to me). They have a slightly thick almost jelly-like texture, so the staying power is great for glossy lips. They have a sweet mango flavor. They feel very comfortable on the lips and are less slippery than the Rouge Volupte Shines which I still love, but I actually prefer the Candy Glaze formula. The shades I pulled:
- 02 Sweet Pink is a transparent milky pink
- 04 Nude Pleasure caramel peach brown
- 05 Pink Satisfaction is a deep rose pink
- 13 Flashing Rosé is a healthy medium rose pink
- 14 Scenic Brown is a neutral brown glaze from the 90s
- 15 Showcasing Nude is the perfect nude pink

Shade 13 Flashing Rose is my favorite and I keep reusing it. This is the question many of you have been asking on my Instagram Stories too!
Some of you have asked me if there is any issue with the product melting and I can’t say yes yet. It’s very hot here and we have very limited time outside (i.e. walking from the car to restaurants or shops). I have lipstick in my purse, but we usually only spend a short amount of time outdoors, or under a shaded patio with a fan. It’s easier to bear outdoors at night, and I haven’t had any problems with melting. YMMV depends on how hot it is where you are.
You can also see them in action here!
The bottom line is perfect. So far, the new shades seem to be only available at Sephora and YSL Beauty. Additional shades can be found at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and all other retailers including Macy’s.
have you tried any of these? What do you think?

PS: If you’ve been looking for the Couture Mini Clutch Eyeshadows they just launched at Bloomingdale’s. I’m not sure if I’ll buy either, currently debating whether to get these new ones or the Cle de Peau eyeshadow quad.
