Having released their excellent self-titled debut album last year, LA ecstatic black metal band Agriculture are now gearing up for a new EP, Living Is Easy. It will be paired on 12″ vinyl and cassette with the band’s 2022 debut EP The Circle Chant and it arrives May 3 via The Flenser (pre-order).
The EP’s first single is its title track, which fuses black metal fury with some genuinely bright, uplifting melodies. It comes with a video shot on tour during the band’s 2023 tour with Chat Pile that features the bands murdering each other in an extremely campy B-movie kinda way. “Making this music video while on tour with Chat Pile was some of the most fun we’ve ever had,” Agriculture says. “We’re so grateful to Chat Pile and directors Sam Blakesberg and Jack Ebstein for helping us make this insanely dumb thing that we love.” Check it out below.
Agriculture are also gearing up for their first East Coast tour, including a Brooklyn show on April 13 at Saint Vitus. All dates are listed below.
