So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. We post music news, track premieres, and more all day. We update a playlist weekly of some of our current favorite tracks. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
OMNI – “INTL WATERS”
“‘INTL Waters’ came together quickly with minimal intentions but soon grew lush with melodies and decadent piano flourishes,” say Omni of the latest single from the upcoming Souvenir. “Thinking about the sadness of villains as they float around between imaginary borders seemed interesting and amusing to minimize. We hope you enjoy this left turn as much as we do.” The outro on this one is great.

BADBADNOTGOOD – “TAKE WHAT’S GIVEN” FT. REGGIE
BADBADNOTGOOD are back with this new single featuring reggie. “We were doing a couple sessions around the time of Coachella 2022 and ended up having reggie by the studio,” say the band. “We were struck by his unique artistry and energy, and he played us some of his unreleased music that was just amazing. The groove for ‘Take What’s Given’ came together while we were messing around during setup, and we were just having fun with it until reggie started freestyling what became the lyrics. It quickly became an infectious song and we ended up laying it down within a couple takes. Stylistically it’s super different than anything we’ve put out before but we had such a fun time playing it and it was stuck in our heads for a year while we worked on other stuff.”

I’ve been less scared of it because it’s not my story. It’s a shared one.”
