Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy and Mekons‘ Jon Langford are recreating the pandemic-era streaming show they did together at a few “song-for-song” in-person shows this week. That included two sets each at NYC’s Joe’s Pub on Wednesday (11/15) and Thursday (11/16); we caught the early show on Wednesday. It was a very relaxed, fun, off-the-cuff evening; Will Oldham playing barefoot, and he and Langford took turns switching off on leads, often joining in on each other’s harmonies, and telling stories.
