Cocteau Twins singer Liz Fraser has one of the most celestial voices in all of pop and now she’s got an actual asteroid named after her. 4AD Records shared the news today, writing: “Yesterday, after 10 years of research, the International Astronomical Union have named the asteroid 2013 TF19, ‘Fraser,’ after Elizabeth Fraser.”
The label goes on to assure us this interstellar rocky hunk of cherry coloured funk “does not pose a threat to humankind and will not collide with Earth for millions of years. It can only be viewed using an advance telescope but luckily is available to see on NASA’s website.”
The Fraser asteroid was discovered on August 31, 2013 by M. Kusiak, M. Żołnowski at Tincana.
