SST vets Das Damen reformed last summer and have played a handful of shows, including one at TV Eye in Ridgewood, Queens. But they haven’t scheduled one in their old Manhattan stomping grounds till now: they’ll play Bowery Electric on February 22 with Sit N’ Spin and Joudy.
That’s one of two Northeast shows they have this month, the other being in Boston at O’Briens on February 24 with a terrific undercard of Thalia Zedek, Sleepyhead and Clamb.
Das Damen will also perform live on WFMU on Valentine’s Day as part of the Evan “Funk” Davies’ show from noon – 3 PM. You can tune in online.
Last year Das Damen also reissued their 1986 debut EP with a bunch of bonus material, and you can listen to that below.
