Fresh off releasing his new album What Do We Do Now?, Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis has covered Phoebe Bridgers‘ “Motion Sickness” during a solo performance for Australian radio station 3RRR, Stereogum reports. He makes the song his own, delivering it in his classic J Mascis drawl and massaging some of the melodies (and one of the lyrics) to fit his style. He also pronounces Phoebe’s name as “Fo-eh-bee Bridgers.” It’s a 43-minute session where he also performs his own material and gives an interview Listen at RRR.org.
J’s in Australia because Dinosaur Jr have shows coming up there this month into next, and J will be doing a few solo gigs while he’s there as well. He also gave a televised interview on ABC Australia and you can watch that below.
